Keeping fit for me isn’t necessarily a burden but it definitely isn’t a pleasure. I do feel the benefit from keeping trip and in shape which is what it’s all about isn’t it? However I do struggle to find the time to work out because when I’m not on the road with work I am torn between two demanding offices. This article describes how I fit exercise into my weekly routine;

An answer to all my prayers would have been for my company to offer a lovely resident health club on the complex – I should be so lucky. I have had a gym membership before at a good rate after doing a Google search for gym Birmingham. It was a lovely gym and I was very disciplined in attending so I know at least when I am in the area the gym membership would be used well.

However my offices I work between are as far away ad Birmingham and Guildford and signing up to a gym Guildford as well as Birmingham is not an option for a person with my minimal disposable income. But then again I don’t fancy having all the facilities of one gym at my fingertips only to leave for weeks on end.

I therefore had to come up with a fitness plan that would satisfy my circumstance and here’s what I did;

So I tried to think about what the best option would be for me in splitting exercise between Birmingham and Guildford. I first indulged myself by joining the gym in Birmingham which I frequented before. This game me all the facilities of the gym equipment but also the health spa club including the Jacuzzi.

Birmingham was my treat in a sense. A hard work out was normally followed by a hard shill out in the whirlpool.

The Birmingham office was also the most intense with higher management present so it was nice to have at least one club to visit of the two areas almost as a treat to myself.

It would have been an easy decision to leave all my exercise in Birmingham and consider Guildford as a break. However I knew I would only feel a certain amount of guilt come a month long slog at the Guildford office.

And with another direct debit for another gym membership out of the question, I decided to try my hand at a new sport of which I quickly joined the works league. I am as talented at Squash as any other sport I have attempted, which is not very. But it does offer a competitive and social environment.

My situation now fits me perfectly. When I am slogging myself round the squash court I miss the comforts of a spa environment and while relaxing in the hot tub I miss the competitive nature of the squash court.

I expect that absence makes the heart grows fonder in this case or maybe it dreading a minute more on the squash court.
