About a year or so ago I decided that I wanted to get much fitter and healthier and get back the young body I used to have. So after doing a little research I decided to buy a Life Fitness X3 cross trainer and see how I went on it. Now after having used it for a year, I wanted to give you guys out there some of my thoughts on it.
I really love it. I’m not one to exercise, in fact I’d rather do almost anything else. But when I’m on this machine I don’t hurt, which is important to me. I’m able to run a variety of programs for as long as I want. It’s easy on my knees, my back and my lungs.
I ended up deciding to buy the X3 because it was on sale at that time and I found no requirement for the additional features that are on the X5 model. However, I did notice that you can trade them in for new models as the new ones come out which is a nice option to have.
We have the advanced display panel instead of the basic one. This one includes routines for your glutes and arms. It also has a bunch of programmable features that may be customized in excess of one user.
Set up is actually pretty easy and it has an instruction book that will help you as you go. My preferred approach to use is to turn on the tv, set up the actual x3 to the uphill pre-programmed option for a time of 30 minutes, key in my current body weight, my exact age and get going.
