Clen is a pill for horses. It was banned by the FDA in 1991, because although the drug was found to help add extra weight and muscle in show animals, cases were reported of adverse reactions in people, who had consumed the clenbuterol.

In 1998, the FDA then approved the use if clenl use in horses suffering with lung obstruction. Some horse that received the drug could not later be slaughtered for food. The U.S. Department of Agriculture and the FDA still monitor illegal use of the substance in animals. Product labeling for clenbuterol very clearly states: “For use in horses not intended for food.”

If you surf though various body-building Web sites, you will find an array of editorials promoting the drug for its lean-muscle-mass benefits, along with advice on how to use it. Many of these sites imply that the drug is safe. Some claim that it is used as asthma (but not weight loss) medication in some countries, however, FDA documents don’t appear to mention this.

FDA has banned clenbuterol for all use. So, unless you are a horse with bum lungs, this drug is illegal. The International Olympic Committee has also banned it. But some bodybuilders, who promote the drug for health concerns. Apparently, if you’re seeking out perfectly sculpted muscles, almost anything goes.

Diet drugs are always prescribed in conjunction with a healthy diet and regular exercise. And long term, these drugs produce only minor weight loss. They’re considered successful if 5 percent to 10 percent of body weight is kept off for a year or more.

Although everyone wants to find an easy way to fat loss, there just isn’t one. Or, that is, there isn’t one that doesn’t come packaged with nasty, or even deadly, side effects. Even for the FDA-approved weight-loss drugs (sibutramine, an appetite suppressant; or orlistat, a fat blocker) to be prescribed, a person must be officially obese, with a body mass index over 30 or above if they have associated risk factors such as insulin resistance or high blood pressure. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) guidelines suggest that the side effects of even these approved drugs are serious enough that one should take them only after all potential risks have been considered and behavioral options (read: diet and exercise) have been exhausted.

Sports giants Reebok have claimed that their Reebok Easytone trainers can improve the tone of your hamstrings, calves and bum by nearly 30% more than regular trainers just by walking. They claim the trainers can “train muscles your trainers never knew you had.”

They seem too good to be true; you can exercise the same amount or simply walk around and your legs and behind get a workout that would usually take hours a day at the gym. But do they actually work or is this all just some marketing campaign? A team of scientists with backgrounds in exercise, sport and physiology at the University of Wisconsin conducted a study to test the claims on each of the shoes.

Heading up the test was John Porcari PhD who agrees that in theory the trainers should work the muscles harder because it creates instability that the body attempts to counteract. The shoes are based on a curved sole which creates an unstable surface which forces the wearer’s body to constantly struggle to find equilibrium.

The team tested the Reetone range on a group of females aged between 19 and 24. The subjects were tested through exercise trials and measured by muscle activation, heart rate and caloric expenditure.

The trails were also conducted with a group aged 21 to 27 and both groups were tested with regular trainers to compare. The first results were not impressive, using the Reetone trainers did not increase caloric expenditure or heart rate and only produced aching of the muscles.

The group did however survey users of the shoes over a period of several months and found that the general consensus was an overall toning of the legs and bum. What the team failed to determine was whether the toning was entirely due to the trainers or just down to people walking more to get their value for money out of the trainers.

The Reebok Easytone campaign has promoted the Easytone trainers by emphasising the positive effects on the toning and shaping of women’s legs and bums.

All fitness and health experts agree that we should focus on losing weight slowly over the course of months. Yet with everyone wanting weight loss within weeks it’s obvious that the average dieter will be looking for a short cut. The question is why do experts recommend we reduce weight slowly?

The simple fact is effective weight loss means a reduction in body fat stores and unfortunately burning large amounts of fat is a slow process. Yes, it is true that weight can be lost very quickly but who wants to lose a large amount of water only for it to be replaced when the diet ceases? This way you would only end up exactly where you started – Overweight!

The reason why the weight loss industry is worth billions of dollars every year is because companies will offer ways to fast weight loss knowing the body can easily reduce water weight quickly. Although, to be fair many of these companies have provided exactly what the customer wanted – weight loss, they often don’t mention fat loss!

The trouble is people get so hooked on losing WEIGHT. They jump on the scales and see 2 stones overweight so that’s what they need to lose – WEIGHT!

This is the real reason health experts keep drumming it into us to reduce the weight slowly, they understand that in reality any fat loss is the correct step to effective weight control as well as a healthier heart.

Clenbuterol is distributed in two forms: as a pill or a syrup. Most users prefer the pill, as it can be carried and used discretely. Clenbuterol is commonly dosed at 20 micrograms per tablet, which is a very small amount.

The bottom line, Don’t confuse WEIGHT loss with FAT loss!

The following information will show you how to get a flat stomach without doing countless crunches.

First things first, quit thinking that crunches are going to give you a flat stomach. Crunches only work the surface muscles and not the muscles underneath them. In order to burn one pound of fat, you would have to do 100 crunches every day for 7 years. That equals 250, 000 crunches. I don’t believe that you want to do that.

The core moves are: The basic and side plank, glute bridge march, lunge with rotation, plank with arm lift, side plank with rotation, hip thigh raise and reverse lunge with single arm press. These exercises target the hidden muscles. To figure out where the muscles are, try this exercise. Lay on your back with palms just below the navel. Breathe out as much as you can letting your stomach reach full extension. Now pull you belly button in towards the spine, bringing your abdomen towards the floor. Hold this position for 5 seconds. Repeat 8 to 10 times.

Next, get up off the couch. If you are not very active, your bottom muscles are rendered useless. Your hip flexors, which join your hip and leg to each other, become stiff and your pelvis will begin to lean forward. As a result, your spine is put under more pressure. So, you wind up with an abdomen that is being pushed out. You have to be active if you are going to get a flat stomach.

To firm your bottom use the hip thigh raise and glute bridge march. For stiff hip flexors, while in a lunge position, lower back knee to the floor. Push your hips forward while keeping your back straight. Go until the front area of your hip feels the stretch. Hold for 10 seconds, relax and repeat. For more of a stretch, reach you arms over your head.

Pay attention to what you consume. Lose weight by eating dairy, nuts, fish or meat in place of carbs.

Decrease the processed foods like baked goods, sodas, cereal, yogurt and fruit drinks that you consume. This will decrease your sugar intake and insulin in your body as well as speed up your metabolism. It is common for people to take in 20 teaspoons of sugar a day. This is not good.

Decrease your anxiety levels. Eating seems to be how most people deal with stress.

Let your muscles rest for at least a day. That is how long it takes them to repair themselves from exercising. All it takes is working out 3 times a week to get the results you want. Perform 15-20 reps of each exercise..

If you have been doing countless sit ups and hoping for six pack abs, that’s not How to get a Flat Stomach. You can get a Flat tummy by doing just a few easy exercises and watching what you eat and becoming more active. Find out how simple it can be to get a flat stomach now!

Pilates is a great way of strengthening and toning all the muscles in your body – especially the core muscles. What are core muscles? These are the muscles in your abdomen and pelvic regions that holds your entire body in balance.

Having the correct posture gives one a feeling of well-being, as well as the look of leanness and height. Good posture is also important for good health as we shall soon see.

Many athletes and even ballroom dancers practice Pilates in order to strengthen their core muscles and allow them to change direction quickly with better balance, thus reducing the risk of injury.

With Pilates, movements are performed slowly with total control in order to improve one’s awareness of his or her body. What this means is that when you become “aware” through lots of training, you know what the individual muscles in your body are doing and you gain better performance and control in yourself.

Pilates has been known to be the ideal workout for people who have suffered an injury and need to build strength back into their muscles. The Pilates workouts can be easily customized for rehabilitation, allowing one to perform overall body exercises whilst not affecting the injured area.

However, if you suffer from hip or back injuries and you’re considering Pilates for your rehabilitation treatment, it is advised that you consult your doctor first. It is also a good idea to get yourself some one to one coaching from a qualified Pilates instructor to ensure that you perform the routines correctly and not over-strain any part of your body.

What’s the best way to get started with Pilates? The most economical way is to buy Pilates DVDs for beginners. With that, you can follow along in the comfort of your own home as the video guides you through all the basics, ensuring that you don’t perform bad techniques where you might injure yourself.

It’s not easy to get things right when you first start with Pilates. It’s important you learn the incorrect methods so get yourself to a beginner class where you can get some personal coaching, at least till you get the basic exercises right.

For Pilates to be effective in your fitness goals, you will need to be entirely dedicated to practicing the right forms and the right breathing exercises. The people don’t see results are the ones who have not totally committed themselves.

Don’t expect quick results either. Getting great results requires consistency plus good technique. Don’t get discouraged if you find it hard to do at first, just keep persisting. Once you’ve come to grips with foundational Pilates, both your mind and body will thank you for it.

Begin with Pilates Videos now. Check out this Pilates DVD review at this author’s web blog. Also reviewed are Pilates equipment such as the Pilates machine within.
